As the title says tomorrow im going to order a knife, i have 140 to spend.. 128 to be exact actually, and i was looking at the ZT 200
I want a knife to be my EDC but im also going to use it for boxes and everyday tasks and such, and i want it to be a defensive weapon also, if needed.
Any ideas? and good websites to order the knife from? Thanks! And im not sure where to put this.. but I figured the review section may work? Since i want reviews on a knife to get!

Don't think about your knife as a weapon, defensive or otherwise. There are dozens of knives to recommend in that price range but if you like the ZT 0200look at the Spyderco Manix 2 for $50 less. About $85 including shipping may get you one. It's the best heavy duty <$90 knife on the market today IMHO. Also ook at the Spyderco Military (the orange is VERY nice for about $120) or snag a Spyderco Paramilitary in CPM D2 steel before they're gone. About $105

Look at:

knifeworks.com
Newgraham.com
cutleryshoppe.com
spydercovt.com

Good luck!

I agree with Reeek. While knives can be weapons of course they do not excel defensively due to low stopping power (vs a decent handgun or shotgun and appropriate training and skill or any of a variety of impact tools). Instead pick based on utility as this will be 99.99% of its purpose. Spyderco, Kershaw, and Benchmade are all excellent production companies within your price range. I am partial to Spyderco's Police and Military models and the new Manix 2.

For a self defense, you are better off with a rock... It is cheaper too

However, if you want a nice knife you can get this for $77

Check out the makers forum.

I EDC a Busse Skeleton Warden, which I greatly enjoy.

Kershaw will give you a nice steel for a low price. You could probably aford their special addition models, which have even better steel.
