It's not here yet, but below is the knife I just traded for. It's a small Sebbie. I don't know much about it either. Can anyone provide me with info? Thanks. Now the wait for the mail begins.

That's a high end Sebenza, for a start. Only selective wood models were inlayed with gold - nearly always 18K.
Woods I know to have been given this feature are Snakewood, Ebony, African Blackwood and Black Palm. I'm sure there are others, too.

So, it's a Small Classic with wood inlay and gold wiring. As to the wood type, I can't tell from the pics  :D
You could hardly have started with a better looking knife - well done !!

Mark :)

well it's a Classic model, that you can be sure of... :)

it has wood and gold inlay, the wood is probably ebony.

I don't know what you traded for it but that's an expensive one!

I know he said it is Ebony. I really can't wait to get a hold of it. I traded a custom balisong for it. These nice ones are just as useable as the standard ones I hope. I don't plan on beating on it or anything, just would love carry it.

The nice ones are just as useable as the standard ones. In fact, they ARE the standard ones, with decorative accents added: engraving or inlaying. But the working parts of the blade and handle are exactly the same. A small classic blade can be a deadly sharp instrument. One of the guys has used one as a teacher for dissections in biology class.

The damn knife is here, but I can't get to it because the Fed Ex guy wouldn't leave it at my door. Oh well. I will get it tomorrow. I hope.

After playing with this knife for an hour or two I am delighted. I would have thought I would be scared to carry this because it was too nice, but that isn't the case. I am tickled pink with my new Sebbie.

I found the inlays handle daily carry quite well. Your next challenge is to take it apart and put it back together! Then learn to sharpen it the way you like and you'll be set to go for a long time. Or at least until you save the money to buy another Sebbie. It's nice to have one for backup and there's alot to be said for the large. The plains are nice and simple but the inlays really feel nice in the hand. If you end up like me your wallet will be getting lighter and lighter and the white boxes will begin accumulating at a remarkable rate. That's a nice knife you got. Do yourself a favor and don't be afraid to use it. ;) :) :p

I already downloaded the video on taking it apart and did so. It was easier than I thought. I am not afraid to use it. I already cut open a package of frozed pork for my dinner. I am very happy with this knife. I am going to start putting some money away for another one this month. I just have to figure out which one to get. I really like the Moon Song one and the NYC skyline one. Hmmmm which one next?
