Hi.
I have been spending a lot of $$$ on knives lately (I tend to go in cycles of buying, guns, then knives, then fishing equipment) I mean, paying the mortgage is overrated, right???
I have never actually owned a Buck knife! It seems odd that I almost 30 and own over fifty knives and none of them (so far) have been Buck. Well, I have been lurking here in this forum for a few weeks now, and I must say, I am convinced. Not that I needed convincing that Buck is a quality product, I realize they have more know-how that most of the companies out there. But I must say that the attention that Joe and the others from the company give their customers is what sold me....
I do have a question, though. I was wondering what the turn-around time on a custom would be? I have read about how you can choose your blade steel, scales and other components. That is very cool. I have custom (semi-custom?) knives from Strider, Emerson, Grohmann, etc. but have not been able to have too much say in how they are constructed. What is the average turn around time?
I figure as a good American, I should probably own a 110 or another classic. So... I now embark on my journey into the world of Buck...
Thanks fellas.
