I just ordered an Izula, Waiting for it to show up, should be here tomorrow? Every thing I have read on the knife sounds like it will be worth it and then some. If so being the collector I am, I will need more Rat's to go with it :)

Now a question? Are these made by Ontario knives? I have seen some Rat stuff from them in the past? Just curious.

No, the Izula has never had anything to do with Ontario, that's strictly a RAT Cutlery/Rowen manufacturing design.

Jeff Randall contracted Ontario to make his designs in the past. That arrangement has since ended and there is some contension as far as them continuing to produce them.

Those made by Ontario with be labled as RAT-3, RAT-7, RAT-5, TAK, RTAKII.

The new blades are made to a higher standard of quality and fit and finish by Rowen manufacturing and designed, marketed and sold through Jeff's new outfit RAT Cutlery.

These newer blades will be labled RC-3, RC-4, RC-5, RC-6, Izula and HEST.

You'll also see the terms ESEE and DPX Gear associated with these newer knives.

Nothing at all to do with Ontario.

You will need more

Welcome to the RAT family! :D

Like others have said, they are no longer affiliated with Ontario knives. But I can say with confidence, you will not be able to resist getting more, it's a wonderful sickness! :p The more you get the more you want.

I hope to see my RC-6 here tomorrow waiting for me when I get home from work, I really hope it comes, I can't bear the anticipation.

I love mine. It comes scary sharp and the handle should be wrapped cause you never know when you'll need some paracord.
