A real quality camp shovel made with Becker quality would be cool. I’m visualizing a stout blade sturdy D handle utilizing the full size Becker handle scales. Folding head would be ideal with the ability to lock it at 90* to use it as a hoe.

What else could be added to take it to the next level? Serated saw edge? Fire hydrant wrench? The ultimate survival camp SHTF shovel.

What do you guys think?

I think the market is already saturated with them, haha.

Lol! I knew what you meant. I just think Becker and KaBar can do better than the crap I’ve seen on the market. I have my ww2 folding Ames. But I’d like something I won’t worry about loosing.

There is always room for a really great product.

It's funny you posted this. Not more than an hour ago, I was watching a video from Gideon's Tactical on youTube, where he was comparing the CS to the Condor.

There's always room in the market for a one off, custom prototype. I made a d handle for a flat shovel blade that needed a new handle. I used a close fitted pipe for the shaft and horse shoes for the handle top. A little welding, a little paracord, shown here before I wrapped the pipe with paracord. Mainly I made this for my uncle's horse barn. I caught flak for using steel pipe, they said it would reverberate and hurt your hands.

Here is a photo of the wrap.
