I lucked out this weekend
there is a section in my local paper called the bargain basement reserved for items less than 200$. this one was 95 bucks it runs like a champ, liquid cooled and nicely made.the gentelman that made it is a machinist/sculptor and makes stained glass .after talking for a short while I asked if he would be interested in building a 3 wheel 2x72 and he said he'd love to try one.All i have to do is come up with the contact wheel.
has anyone used treadmill motors/parts in a HMG I'm thinking its got to have some 1-2 HP and a speed controller all in one unit? I know not many people reccomend the hmg setups but a good machine is out of reach for a while and this would be a nice grinder for pretty cheap......cheap imagine that If it runs too good itll cost me a fortune in steel to keep me playing
