Here’s my new Savage 93r17-GV (wood stock + heavy bull barrel), in .17 HMR. I mounted a Weaver V16 4-16x42mm scope using Millet Angle-Loc High rings. I also put on an Uncle Mike’s 1 ¼” nylon-web sling with Uncle Mike’s swivels.
I brought home the last target of the day, seeings how the groupings were the best due to the barrel starting to break in. I’ve been told accuracy will tighten up even further…that would be nuts.

As you can probably see, I saved the best for last. That flier in the Remington grouping was actually a 6th shot. I didn’t see where the 5th shot hit the target, so I decided to fire another one just in case I had missed the paper altogether. It turns out that 6th shot was the eyesore to the grouping, and upon close inspection, the 5th round actually went partially through one of the pre-established holes. No big deal, really. I'm more than happy with the rifle...what a swell machine.
