I've retired my 88 F150 for this 2002 F250. It has the 7.3 L diesel engine. I'm a bit worried about taking it out right now due to the cold.

Did you get it rust proofed? I would be more concerned about the salt they use during winter than the cold. I have 1994 F150 and rust proof it each year. No rust, all the brake lines etc and the whole vehicle is rust free.

About the concern of cold weather. Get a block heater, and plug it in for an hour or two, and your good to go. A warmer engine gets better fuel economy too.

Guys here in work talk trash about fords but my 2000 f150 4x4 has 230,000 miles on her and hasn't failed me yet. Congrats on the new toy!

Congrats! My first vehicle was a '91 Ford F150 short wide. Straight six with a 5-speed manual. Great truck until I flipped it going 85 on a dirt road :( (young and dumb).
