Spoiled myself a little bit today. Ordered myself a bali-sword. 33" OAL. Any manipulation ideas? :D

BTW, if you haven't been by there recently, Knifezilla updated today - some FHM's, BM47, etc.

You need to be especially careful with these. If you should ever get in the way of the blade on the bite handle, you will not get a little "bite". Your finger will be chopped off by the weight and inertia of the heavy blade. Even the "safe" handle isn't really safe. That heavy blade can have enough energy to break a finger bone.

I've done demos at the Oregon show with mine. You'll just have to come next year.

My middle name is "Especially Careful"! :)

Kevlar fabric trivia: It'll stop a bullet, but won't stop a knife. At one of my former places of employment, approximately once a week, some foolish employee would find that out the hard way.

(1) Big long blade....(2) Big Heavy Handles...(3) Mucho Inertia...
(4) Swinging Alone Advisable <less fun> (5) High Maintenance
(6) Low Margin For Error (7) Great Wall Hanging of Display
(8) Fingers Total (9) Two Thumbs (10) Equals total of (8)&(9)

Recommendations: (A) Watch Chuck's Demo in Oregon next year (B) Meet Butch Vallotton and shake hands (C) Choose (7) -see above-

Well, it has arrived. Gotta tell ya, being my first FHM, I'm quite impressed by the quality of workmanship. Honestly expected quite a bit less from folks who are paid virtually peanuts.

Definitely not something to flip around too often - not so much for safety reasons (which are considerable!)as much as this is a LOT of weight for some brass bolsters to handle (bad pun intended!) Still going to have to try a Y2K with it one of these days though!! :D ;)

Once again ... Woo Hoo!

Knifezilla. $200 + shipping.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need a massive band-aid and a pint of neosporin ... ;)
