Looks like my M43 and Bilton have arrived! Wow that was fast! The wife just called be from home to tell me I had a big package from Himalayan Imports waiting for me when I get home. I told her "ya that's my stuff from Nepal" and she said" no it's from Reno, to which I replied "it's from Nepal via Reno actually". :) I'll show her pics of the shop when I get home to set her straight and then say "that look like Reno to you?". :) Anyway the m43 will surely get a goooooood workout this weekend so I'll reportin an let you guys know how it goes.

Munk recently suggested he was from an alternate reality from many of us.

could be.

But we ALL know Reno is the capital of Nepal.

Just fold the map a bit.

Congratulations on your new toys.

That should be the byline of this forum! :D
hehehehehe, yup! :D ;)

Want to bet that 80% of the average high school students would back us up? :grumpy: :p ;)
After all Reno is a lot easier to remember than Katinamandolinwilldu. ;)

Well I got home from work opened the package from Reno and was quite impressed to say the least. I removed all the excessive oil, which Im sure is for preserving them during overseas travel, cleaned and polished them and put a light coat of B&C Sheath(R) on them. I am very very impressed. I new the m43 was gonna knock me out of my chair being that it is my first Khukuri but I had no idea that the Bilton would be nearly as nice as it is. It's sterile too which is kinda cool since I have no other sterile knives although I am curious as to who made it.

The next order of business is working the edges a little as well as some additional (more detailed) cleaning/buffing then this weekend there is some felled brush on piece of undeveloped rural family land that is just begging me to let it have the honor of testing the new knives. A full report and pictures will follow. I have a million questions too but I will hold off on those for now as I imagine I can answer many on my own over the next few days and have fun in the process as well. :) BTW: You poisoned me... I'm already thinking about the next three or so HI Nepali blades that I want. :D

Edit:
-----
Forgot to mention that I measured the Bilton and she's totally legal for carry here in Texas. She comes in under 5.5" no matter how you measure her blade. :D :D :D :D

Glad you are enjoying your new toys. Let us know how you like the M43 after you get a chance to try it out.

sooner the better on that testing, Brian.

she said" no it's from Reno..."

gave me quite a chuckle this morning....:D
