Almost a week ago I got two new toys.
One is the "one and only" Sage FFBM that I got from Steelnut:thumbup: This is a fantastic new blade...
The other toy is a new sharpener: the Edgepro Apex.

I shot some quick pics this evening of the FBM and of the new edge I put on the HOGFSH with the EdgePro Apex. The new sharpener is awesome. The coarser stones realy do cut metal quickly. After some practise the results are amazing. I've got my own "vampireslayer" right now :D

Great Looking Blade! The G-10 on those are nice

Edge Pro :thumbup:

The Edge Pro took me a few days to get the hang of it, but once you get used to it, and put the angle on your knife that you want, it's the best non-sander/non-manual sharpener I've used . . .

Previously, the Razor Edge was my favorite . . . It's an amazing system, and significantly smaller than the Edge Pro, but I can sharpen 4 knives on the Edge Pro to every 1 on the Razor Edge; and the results will be the same.

The biggest drawback to the Razor Edge, however, is that the clamp will wear away . . . after 20-30 years.
 
Apex EdgePro, huh??? I gotta get me one of those! Nice, very nice... :D:thumbup: Cool FFBM. Definitely one of my favorites from the BCS lately, glad ya got yours!
 
Great pics!

I've been making due w/a Sharpmaker, but eyeing those edgepros for a long time. If Jerry would just give me a few weeks without new infi (and you guys would ease up on all the nice stuff on the exchange)...
 
Crafft: Sweet toys. I have really been wanting one of those sage ffbms. And I love the Edge Pro. :thumbup:
