Hey All,
Got a new camera so I thought I'd try it out with this one first. This is a new variation on one of my hunter models. I was really pleased with this one and I'm looking forward to making a second of these.

This full tang Trailing point is forged from 300+ layers of 1084, 15N20 & L6...6" (11" overall). The guard is from the same billet. The handle scales are stabilized Giraffe bone with black liners and stainless bolts/lanyard liner. The "lefty" sheath has a nice flourish and border tooling.
Hope you like it.

looks nice. darker background would stop some of the bleed of the highlights. BTW--what is the new camera you are using?

OK, I'll compliment you on the da*mn knife as long as you promise me the first slipjoint that you're happy with.

.;) ;) ;) (and change the message on your answering machine) :D

Very classy. I like the curves throughout both handle and blade, that make the total piece hold together, visually. The black theme also keeps it all together (in the blade, scales, and liners). A work of art, my man!

Very nice J! Hey, your avatar picture looks familiar (-:

By 'full tang' I assume you mean fully exposed and not tapered - or did you taper the tang for balance?

Thanks Buddy and thanks again for the avatar. I just cropped out Burt Foster kicking my butt in the 2x4 cut. ;)

The tang is full/exposed with a slight taper to it. Not too much though, just enough to balance it out. Thanks again.
J.

Holger-Your already on the top of the list for slip joints, just haven't had much time to play with them lately. I'll have Danny leave a new message maybe. He's only 2 but, he probably speaks better then me.
;)

Hey J, another great piece......New camera , are you still using your same light box??

Happy Holidays to the family...
