Here is a large knife I have been excited about for some time. Since I started mine I have also started one for a Blade formite.

TAke a look and see what you think. Both 5/32" 0-1 with 5.5" blade length.

As it well deserves to be IMHO. :D Its beauty, of which it has plenty, I suspect belies a VERY practical tool for camp chores. Very nice design, well executed! At a touch over 1/8" thick & with what looks like full flat grinds, I bet it is a slicing demon.

What is the handle material? Purpleheart perhaps?

That is an awesome design. It looks like a lot of knife packed into a mid sized package. Your designs are excellent!

Thanks TKnife. I am happy with this package. On to larger ones :) I have one chopper thats a 7" blade and I hope the temper came out as nice in it!
I do have a fondness for small ones too.

Here is what I like about the handle. Keep in mind that a knife without a finger cutout will be shaped a little different. This shape (for me) gives me a cumfortable and controlled choke up grip. I extended the handle and left it more bulbous so that you can choke back on the handle for chopping and still have a reassuring grip. This gifes the 5.5" blade about 2" more reach so you can do larger jobs with a smaller blade.
