New ultimate hunter grip screw question

I noticed that the grip screws on my ultimate hunter don't line up. On one side they are shifted closer to the lanyard hole than the other side. Are they made like that or is mine an anomaly?
 
Probably they do it the same they have done it on the Recon 1 before. The screws are offset from each other so that each screw has threads the length of the full backspacer thickness. If the screws were perfectly aligned on both sides, then two would share the same hole in the backspacer and therefore each would only have half the backspacer thickness to thread into.
 
Yes, it is like this on the AK-47, American Lawman, Hold Out, Talwar and Espadas too.

That makes sense. Very thought out. I like the reasoning.
