Hey all,
Just bought an old Umnumzaan from a member here. Totally stoked about it because I've gone through two Umnumzaan's, and I really prefer the old version with the larger pivot and no LBS. Anyway, it's going to rotate EDC duty with my Sebenza 25 which is just getting a real beating lately (and loving it).
I have some pictures of it -- but I had a question. I noticed that on the lock-side of this Umnumzaan, the bottom standoff screw has no hole in it on the lock side. It does have a hex hole on the presentation side. Is this normal? I don't recall this being the case for my last old version Umnumzaan, just seems a little strange to me. I thought there was a hole in the screw head on both sides. I don't think it's counterfeit or anything (it just screams CRK quality), I just don't remember it being that way on the last one I owned.
If it helps (not sure if this has anything to do with date produced), but I have "A 09" engraved inside the handles.
PS -- I know the scales and pocket clip may look a little different than factory blasting. He had a professional blasting done on it to give it a little different look and make it less prone to scratching/snail trails.
Thanks guys. Here are some pics:
