Well it's not new anymore, and I love it! What a brute, a little large, but very low profile in the pocket with no noticeable difference from a lg. sebenza. I'm not sure the new lock works as well for me as a seb. Seems to dig into my thumb after repeated open and closing with one hand. The divot in the lock bar almost seems to encourage 2 handed closing since it works for me better as a nail nick for my other hand. The blade shape is incredible and so is the grind quality (I'd love to a custom maker match it). That alone makes the knife worth owning. Aside from the lock release desgn, I love everything about this knife!

Repeated deployment does a number on my thumb as well. No matter, flicking the blade open gets easier every time as a have formed a healthy callous as a result :) . Practice closing the 'Zaan and you should have no problems releasing the lockbar with confidence. Took me a couple of days, but I got it down.

Beautiful knife man! Awesome!

What are the two dips spine of the blade for? or just for looks?
