Cleaning up the customs inspection area the other day I ran across a Camillus TL-29 in good condition. A little oil and some time sharpening it and it has become an indispensable part of my daily carry.
The screwdriver blade is great for probing and checking to see if wood is rotted on pallets. It also works for light scraping.
No it is not a new wonder steel but it holds an edge pretty well, not sure what steel is used in these.
Somewhere I heard that no one is making this design anymore, really kind of sad. Nothing fancy just a good working blade.
Anyone else know of a knife design that works well for other than its designed purpose?
