We had a tornado last year that destroyed my privacy fence. I had LOTS of wood left over from the destruction that I had stacked in the back of the house. I got out here while back and decided to use the wood to make a few bird houses and bat houses. I couldn't find my scribe to make cut lines but had my waved matriarch 2 in my pocket. Turns out the curved tip on the matriarch makes good cut lines in soft aged cedar slats. I ended up making several bird houses and bat houses with it.

The matriarch makes a good edc. The Lil Matriarch however, makes an excellent EDC! I carry mine often and am constantly amazed at how useful it is for my common tasks. It is a more manageable size than the Matriarch and the tip is less extreme and a bit more robust than its full sized counterpart. Great design that is way under appreciated IMO because too many folks see it only as a SD blade.
