New acquisitions..all users...all with the bolsters "satin" finished.

First up.....GEC/Tidioute Melon Whittler.

I really like this knife. The edge on the main blade was a little too thick for my taste so I thinned it out and am quite pleased with how it cuts now.

My only complaint is the main blade is not flush when opened. It doesn't bother me much on this knife as I got it for a nice price and it is a user but wouldn't have accepted this if I had paid full price.

Next up is a Case that I'd not seen before. An EZ 49. Basically, it is a EZ open Copperhead with a lamb's foot ( thanks Kerry :) ) main blade. The pull on both blades is perfect for me....about a 6. This knife just feels good. I'm looking forward to carrying this one.

This one has a cosmetic flaw....

Last is a Boker Copperhead. I've always liked these.....couldn't say no to this one considering the price I got it for.

Nice set of users. The GEC should be a real cutter now, those edge bevels look wide and thin.

3 great looking knives. GEC's acrylics seem like a nice improvement on that old traditional look. I love the yellow handled Case and the blade configuration on that knife. The Boker looks fantastic as well.

Congrats on the new users... The Case EZ is a pattern that doesn't come around very often. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the yeller scales were the only ones they made them in.

On that melon whittler (I'd like to see someone do that) master blade/spring match up...well, it doesn't. That's a mighty strange way to make a pocket knife. If I didn't know any better I would say it looks like the wrong blade was put in that frame but I know better. That's apparently "the way" they do it.

Yeah, that is a huge difference there, between the blade spine and the rear of the springs... Most production knives I've seen have blades that don't match up exactly, but I don't think I've seen one that extreme.

The scales on that Böker look really nicely worn in; I've got the Copperhead in their Grand Canyon bone, like it a lot but it is a fairly burly knife. CASE looks very appealing too.

Having a look at that GEC again, it does look odd, a poor match-up. Maybe that's why they very quickly dropped the Spear blade on that pattern, replacing it with a long Wharncliffe?

Those are some nice looking knives. That Case is really nice. I've always been a sucker for yellow handles.
