A few months ago I bought the base model of the Vantage in both sizes. I've been carrying the large one as my EDC clipped into my rear pocket of my geans. The more I carry and use it the better I like it. Easy to sharpen to a polished razor edge and seems to hold the edge well. I have a number of Buck folders but this one has become my favorite. I really like this knife.

I've had the Buck Vantage Select for about 9 months and really enjoy it. Love the deep pocket carry and has a pretty darn good feel in hand for my xl hands. I sometimes wish it was just a bit lighter when wearing light pants like hiking pants but that is minor considering the quality and price. Really like the blade shape. I think I'll always have a Vantage as part of my carry options.

They're a good option for EDC. They cover a lot of areas...light, good blade shape and size, great pocket clip, feels great in my hand, etc.. I sent mine to Buck a while ago due to the blade centering issue and it's pretty good now. The only gripe I have with the select is that it's a slippery handle. I could get the G-10 version, but I'm kinda wary about them now with the centering issue. I would like the avid with the rosewood scales, I'm just tired of sending knives back the same day I get them if something's wrong. Anyway, I really like the one I have and it beats out knives that cost a lot more.

Welcome aboard Retired45! I wish that I would have kept my Pro Vantage, they're great knives all the Vantage series!

I have the Vantage Pro large and love it. It's just a tad big for EDC, at least to my way of thinking. So I've been wanting to try out the small version.

As a true believer in the Vantage (11 knives) I switch out with the different knives I have. Today is 845 day.
