Regarding the new Force, I love the new blade design with the extra bit of thumb ramp and gimping but I really don't want another black blade. I was really disappointed when they are showing it being offered only in black. This isn't a tactical knife, give me the new design with the regular blade finish!

The new Vantage Force looks like Buck has my name & address.

I'm leaning toward the 847 Pro with textured black/Blue G10 handle (although I'd like to see this color in person before I make a purchasing decision). I like the black pocket clip, texturing on the back of the blade for thumb grip, thumb-hole opener (maybe the flipper would grow on me) and I'm on the fence with the blacked-out blade coating.

A uncoated blade option would be welcome. On page 38 of the 2011 Dealer Catalog Buck describes this knife as fitting into rescue situations and a war zone.

Maybe there will be a build-out with some mirror polished, satin or ceramic blades one of these days.

Perhaps Dave will get one of each and show us great quality pictures. :D

Is the pivot pinned or adjustable?

Although the Vantage is a great EDC,I believe it would serve quite well as a tactical folding knife.I remember when I was working,I had to take a Benchmade auto from a Soldier. The knife was about the same size of a Vantage and just for Ducks I deployed the blade. It only opened about half way.:eek:I know those are high dollar knives.Even thou it was an Illegal knife to carry on the street when we were done I just gave it back to him.:)I don't carry a knife for self defence but I guess the Black blades are a hot seller now days.

I just need to figure out how to do a wave mod on one and it would be a perfect edc tactical folder.
