New vantage problem, advice please

I ordered this on Amazon as I can't find any in stores around my (not even my 4 closest walmarts).
It has a lock up problem, won't even lock out every time. This pic is max out, pulling the blade back.



So do I try and work on it, or just return it to Amazon and go again? Thanks guys.
 
You might be able to loosen the scale screws and shift things around a bit and the lockup might change. There are a few youtube videos on how to do this with various knives so you might do a search there and try it before sending back. You could do Amazon if they will send you a prepaid label to ship it back. If not and you have to pay to ship it back just send it to Buck.
 
Send it back your choice . Amazon or Buck will serve you well. Bummer !
 
Went with Amazon.. They are sending a replacement before they even get this one back, should have it Monday
