On the Variant Temp HQ page...you can see the following

1) The OFFICIAL Desert Warfare Mean Street
The specs are identical to the regular Mean Street except a) it's a little thinner, .230 instead of .250 INFI. b) Tan Micarta Handles

2) a one-of-a-kind Badger Attack, triple ground variant...double edged and wicked.

You can e-mail me if interested in either.

Thanks,

I love these variants. Especially the MS-DW. A thinner MS sounds nice

"KEEP IT SIMPLE"

"Lead, follow, or get out of the way"

In the End, 6 true 5/16ths inch(.3125") Straight Badger Attacks got sold on the Retail Market, three as Variants, three unmodified, at least two of the Variants were triple Grinds(I have one)

In the early days(up through 2002) pretty much any Tan Mean Streets were all Called Desert War Mean Streets, up to and including some as fat as .270" or so.
Tan was just a little tough to find.

Then came the Proto Leans.

The last Batch of Mean Streets, the Crinkles were also pretty thin.

Thanks,

Thanks for taking the time to pass along what you know:thumbup:

Do you know what .23 actually measured out at?

I have a tan/maroon mean streets that is .239 and a regular MS at .235 and a LMs Crinkle that is .196 so I know that 1/4 didn't always mean .250 and I'm wondering what .23 realy meant as to thickness.

Thanks
