maybe with thicker blade, thinner handle, aluminum handle, skeletonized handle? "rubber" grip handle, ast-34 or 154-cm blades, different sizes?
this in so far my favorite knife, but would be great with more options...
better get R&D to work while i am still on a buying spree:)

waynejitsu,

I noticed that you are on a knife-buying spree...Just in-case you won the Lottery, and are feeling benevolent, I could sure use a TiNi PowerLock.:D.;).:D.

I'll take a Damascus Recon Bowie (or was it Scuba / Demo?)...:D

We have aluminum handled models coming out in just "days." The parts are now in-house! Regarding differing blade shapes, blade steels, etc., that will all depend on the success of this knife. All "new model" announcements are made annually at SHOT Show (usually late January or early February) and we'll make the announcements at that time on our website. I don't know what we have "cooking" for Flash variations...if anything.

do you have any pics you can post? are the handles going to be black or silver? solid or skeletonized? i will be getting EVERY variation of the "flash".
thanks:)

Hi Wayne,

Here are pictures of some of the prototypes. I should have my production models in the next couple of days and will, of course, provide you with images.

The handles are truly stunning...even if these picture do not show it. Trust me! :D These models are very, very well done. The handle color is not well represented in these images. It is a rich platinum color with just a very, very, very slight hint of dark green.

THANKS RON! i will, of course, be adding these AND "ANY" future models of flash series knives. my email address is:
waynejitsu@hotmail.com
so, as any new knives come out, let me know, as i will be getting one or two of each. also, will they be selling any of the prototypes? if so, i am interested.
thanks, wayne

Hi Wayne,

The number of requests we get for our prototypes are quite high, but we just don't sell them. Most of them are either for photo purposes (insert here "non-working") or for conceptual mechanical models (insert here "crudly operating"). We just do think it right to have models of this type in the marketplace.

If we introduce any new models, it will be at SHOT Show 2003. You may check our website late January or early February. New models usually do not make it to market till summer/fall of the year of introduction.

SOG "Blackworks" (or R&D Department) always is cooking up some new and fun toys. Be assured of that!
