Just wanted to say “thank you” to Vector001 for the latest hawk I just received. Talk about a work of ART, exactly what I was looking for. The weight is the amazing part, it has a completely different balance than the RMJ hawk, all the weight IS in the head. I could not imagine being on the business end of any edged weapon, but with the follow thru this thing has… WOW. Can’t wait for the 2nd hawk with the 24" haft/ bug head to come in.

After I get back in town this next time out I will be attaching it to the pack and heading out for a few trails and building and setting up camp with it, can’t wait. I will be sure to report back here with photos, but for anyone who is considering one of Vec’s hawks, I highly recommend them. Thinking about picking up a 3rd walking hawk a little later in the year. Now for a molle compatible kydex sheath…. Here is the “Comanche stadia” with a few friends. the 4th photo shows that a 45ACP will fit the diameter of the tube thru the haft.

Nice Hawk ! Now If Vec can figure out how to turn them Composite Handle's In to a Single Shot 45 Colt, That would be Nice ! Thank's for the picture's, And Congrat's on the New Hawk,

But Old School Hawk's Steel & Wood have been around to Many Year's "And are here to stay !" ! You'll never see a Composite Hawk at a Rendezvous Hawk Throwing event !

Just like the Flintlock Rifle, There here to Stay !

Hey Vec, Hit the Drawing Board, That picture with that 45 ACP In the Barrel/Haft has got me thinking, I know you could do It 45 Colt Single Shot, And I'm In ! I'll go with a 24" Barrel/Haft and a Bug Head Hawk "In Mossy Oak Camo" !

Hell, if you're going for a 24" barrel, make it an
Encore" of the 'Hawk world and chamber it for .45-70!!

:D

I think once you go Vec, everything else is just. . .everything else.
yep, i 100% agree. the rmj stuff is nice and durable but it has the feel of a I beam to me while the Vec stuff has a life of it's own.

Vec owners know what i'm talking about i hope.

Great looking hawk ! your going to really like it. Thanks for the pics....

nice torch there. no I'm not british/english I just like how they refer to flashlights as torches and that one is NICE

Good thinkin' with that .45 ACP ammo, brother spoolup!

thanks so much for posting your first thoughts. - such an honor to be featured alongside the RMJ hawk! their hawks and ours are just different from each other. i can appreciate thier design, i'd love to own one.

- i let my Erica know to give you a secondary Investor's discount on the next order as a small way of saying "Thank You!" - this Humble Hawk Project isn't perfect, but we try to keep it a win-win for everyone. - i am working on a great cane hawk for Survival Sheath Systems' Robert H. and another for Luke Swenson of Swenson knives, so I am excited about getting back into these ultra-hawks with some handles that will be only for them and some sticks i am protoyping with the help of some blind folks. - Purpose Built, all the way.

BTW - let us know if you have any issues that we can take care of for ya - forever.

that's the Happiness Guarantee.

i just started finishing the new BUG hawks today. yours is going to be outstanding, i reckon.

they are so sexy, to me at least. - i made two jet black ones for me and the brother that makes the BUGS possible with his fine eyes and hands.

it's a happy time here.

........

in reference to what the other brethren were sayin' here...;

we have considered a few projectile weapons for the hawks.

i think a .410 shotgun could be lovely.

i also think a pepperbox .22 would be kind of cool to have in a hawk.

you could use it with blanks in some of the chambers to drive dusts and such out towards an opponent.

i bet you could make modules, to pop different calibers and functionality in and out.

did it suddenly get hot in here? :cool:

....har...!

we are almost tooled up to roll with the basic speargun/crossbow/catapult, and Sectionals. - 'just gotta get my Investors' customs done, and our new stuff for TOPS, and then it's Mad Scientist time for ol' vec, yer pal.

whatever you do, don't use the Flamethrower attachment or Cattle Prod unless it is legal in your area (wink!).

good thing I am about a mile from NAB Coronado, is all I am going to say about that....

everything is illegal in California, unless you have an excuse - then it is okey-dokey....:confused:

........

more importantly, gentlemen;

this is a tough business, and your encouragement helps so much, thank you.

YOU RAWK.
