In another thread here on BF, I read that the new version BK2 Campanions have shipped from Ka Bar, and at least one dealer has them in stock.
Bought one from him today.

I'm sure looking forward to receiving it and seeing what Ethan and Ka Bar have "cooked up" this time.

I have three Beckers on the way (BK2, BK7 and BK9), so I'm also really excited about using them. Hope they get here before the weekend.

Good luck with yours!

i have a large (ish) order to contemplate soon. need me some BK13 micartas, and the new BK2 with micarata, make it a user...

and i'm strongly considering a few other things. still haven't gotten the KaBar BK7 yet. i'm just not in love with them, but well, you know, the collection needs at least ONE.

heh

Are the new Campanions any different? I couldn't findo clues on the new ones anywhere...

heh - try the FAQ ;) see the "olean" thread for pictures.

the 2nd gen models are a wee bit lighter, and have a hammer pommel, else you cannot really tell the difference.

And it's my understanding that the only reason the new version is lighter is due to laser cutouts in the tang - which are also present in the BK7 and BK9.
The blade of the new BK2 is still the same full quarter inch thickness as was the discontinued version.

i don't know why anyone thinks it's thinner. nope. 0.250 inches thick. solid.

discontinued. no. evolved ;)
