New version of my very first Spyderco

I am not much of a knife collector, I only keep a few knives around and each one serves a specific purpose. Over the last month or so I have been replacing my old stand-by's to change things up a bit. My work/normal carry knife changed to a PM2, necker is now a Swick 4, dress slacks/light shorts is now a BM 530 etc....

Well the state next door has a 3" law, so that brings me to this new/old knife.

My first Spyderco, given away long ago, was a S30v/FRN Native I got back when they were $40 at Wallyworld. So to fill my 3" carry knife I thought why not get another Native?

So.... my Native 5 S35VN/frn

I have had this for about a week and I like it a lot. The steel is a nice little upgrade from my old Native ( was a good steel in my ZT0550), the four way clip is a nice touch. The full flat grind is a great improvement in my book. And this model seems slimmer than my old one, or my memory is off due to old age.

Think I'll keep this one around.

Spyderco is becoming addictive.....
