the swiss-knife.com site has a new victorinox called the "rescue tool"

has a windshield breaker and a windshield saw

might be useful for first responder types

Sure does!

I am very impressed with that concept- Stayglow scales plus specialized tools
Only thing I am looking for is an O2 tank key, now that's perfect for me!

Thanks for the link!

I noticed they were selling the windshield breaker and windshield saw as separate (replacement?) parts. Do they expect these parts to wear out or will other future Victorinox models accept these parts? It would be very cool if they had some modular SAKs that allowed some mixing and matching of tools.

The Rescue Tool will be available to U.S. dealers after the 1st. of the year when it debuts at the 2007 Shot Show.

I was never a fan of purpose made saws for windshield removal for a number of reasons, and I can't see this one working well at all.

I have mine and I'm quite impressed with it and think it would work well in an emergency.

Have you had a chance to try the glass tools yet? If you have a junkyard in your area they might let you have a go with them.

I like it too.. My ideal SAK would have A wood saw, phillips and flat driver.. This fits the bill.
