On my trip to Idaho I stopped by Doc Rons place and he and Karen gave me an almost complete advanced copy of the new Solo Survival video..
I REALLY enjoyed it, GREAT info, and even some comic relief.. I wont give away anything, but I think you guys will dig it. For a while there Ron was not so happy a camper:-) That crazy assed Moose was fun to watch too..

I think he said about a week from now, BT!

You'll love this one. We had a blast making it, and it contains some survival information you probably never have seen anywhere else, and probably never will.

It is a thinking man's survival video, with some good action thrown in as well.

Best,

Brian.

Thanks guys....

I had a system disk failure last week and lost about 5 days of production/editing time. The actual footage is stored in a striped RAID device that protects the actual work. At this point it looks like it will come in at just under two hours. I hope to shoot the last scene tomorrow, add it in and finish the edit. Friday... maybe...

Fingers crossed

Ron

Brian is right this video has some great info, and techniques, Not to mention a new Music Video that I am sure will be on MTV soon:-)Who let the MOOSE OUT!!!
I like the Blair Witch meets nut job Survivalist' feel of the video... BTW nice way to cross water there Brian! This one is a keeper, you guys will get alot out of it..

Trace...

I've yet to get any Hoods Woods videos, but I'm trying to convince my wife that they would make excellent Christmas / Birthday presents for the next few years! :D

Thanks, Trace!

I like to keep my pale, skinny legs nice and dry in 36 degree water...

:D

Hey Brian...

I remember that strange sucking-snapping sound when you stepped into that water... Mine did the same thing. That water was cold and fast. I thought you showed a lot of courage when you went back out into the water to help get the big dog across.

I ain't asking but... did they ever descend? Now you know what that piece of 550 cord hanging from my underwear does.

Ron

LOL, Ron! Just pull the paracord and it talks eh?

Actually, speaking of descending, no, you conveniently forgot to tell me that particular survival skill...I'm thinking of auditioning for the Bee Gees now, as my falsetto is terrific!!!

"Tragedy! When the feeling's gone and you...."

Gawd, I really hate the Bee Gees...

;)

Brian, trying to find the damn paracord....

Well Brian...

The new "Solo" video is finished. 1 hour 58 minutes. Whew!

I think you might enjoy it. Yours will go out tomorrow.

Ron

Alright!

Congrats, Ron (and Karen)!

Editing's a bitch isn't it? Especially with the hours and hours of footage that was shot....

That trip was incredible. Looking forward to the bnext one!

Best,

Brian.
