I know it's not traditional in any way, and I admit I'm pretty hamfisted (violent might be more accurate) with our lady the sword, but this was a test of the geometry and metallurgy...

Awesome William! That thing is monstrously impressive! How wide of a blade is it and what is the grind? How thick behind the edge? I'm guessing zero edge deformation through the parallel cut?

Hmmn, it was as thin as I dared! Blade is about 1.5" at widest (if that), slightly convex, and yes, no damage through this battery of tests

um yeah but the carbon fiber is not really structural, it adds only about .015" thickness total, probably less I didn't measure.
