We went to the local Wally Mart this afternoon, and while the wife did the household shopping, my son Travis and I went to the sporting goods section to have a look...
I noticed some Buck tins on the end of one aisle, and took a closer look, and was a little surprised. One of the tins has a 482 Bucklite Max, with a small 425. The 482 has the Boone & Crockett logo on the blade.
The other tin had a Nobleman with unique scales, and a small slipjoint that also has different scales. The Nobleman scales look to be wood and metal, and the slipjoint scales are black, but about 1/3 of the scale are a different material. Not sure what it is actually. I wasn't feeling real shiny, so I didn't spend a lot of time looking at them.
Both tins were priced at 17 dollars a piece. Nothing real earth shattering, but I thought that both were interesting combinations. I may have to go back tomorrow and pick one up that has the 482 in it.
