We plan on launching our new Wallet Survival Kit soon and should have a prototype at the upcoming Blade Show. Kit will feature:

Floss Card with E&E tips printed on the card
RAT Plastic Business Card with survival tips printed on card
Brass Wire
Alcohol Prep Pad (for fire starting purposes)
Fish Hooks (various sizes)
Ferro Rod (same rod as Izula Kit)
Button Compass
ESEE Arrowhead
Rare Earth Cylindrical Magnet for use as a backup gross direction compass or magnetizing other things as a compass

Overall size of the kit will be credit size and about 3/8" thick. Price will be very reasonable on this kit, especially since the AH-1 Arrowhead is included. Will be availble through our dealer network. We are not accepting pre-orders yet.

Your motto should be:

"ESEE Knives - finding new and awesome ways to empty my wallet"

.... see the double meaning......taking money, and taking up space with a new survival kit.

Looking forward to it, and I'll be in for a couple for my wife and I.

Very cool.
So the magnet won't ruin the button compass?

I've had 3 button compasses hooked to rare earth magnets for the past week testing them. Release the magents and they go back true. The thing is a compass needle is a magnet itself so opposites are going to attract. So think of it this way: if you have two cylindrical rare earth magnets and throw them together, one compass's south pole is going to grab the other compass's north pole. Once you separate them north is still north and south is still south on both magnets. No damage or reversal of poles. Now, if you try to use the button compass anywhere in the vicitiny of the rare earth magnet (or the arrowhead for that matter) then you're going to get false readings.

I might check one of em out. Sounds pretty cool. Guess I will have to see what they look like first. ;)

To take that even further, I put a 75 pound magnet on several different compasses, from cheap to high dollar, turned and twisted it in every direction, to prove that it won't hurt them. Everytime, they went back to reading north.

Seriously, painting four letters and some numbers on a magnet, then renaming it a compass, does not magically change it into some thing delicate and fragile and flipping sides as fast as the French when anything comes near it to influence it. It's still just a magnet.

That sounds like a cool little kit. Will there be a tiny bit of room for say a needle or very small fire straw?

These sound pretty cool. If they are meant to actually go in your wallet, won't the magnet ruin the magnetic strip on your credit cards?

Yes it will and these are designed to automatically transfer all your money to my bank account!
