I know I'm not that well liked around here but I reckoned maybe Yvsa would appreciate this.

I hand carved this from a single piece of OAK. The ball is not a separate piece. The handle wrapping is buckskin.

Overall length: 27" (68.5cm)
Diameter of ball: 4.25" (almost 11cm)

Took me nearly 4 weeks of work but I think it was worth it.

That is very cool.

One piece?? Looks good. Sigh..wish a had the space (and the planning permission...spit) I would like to set up alittle workshop out back here.

Dont know about you not being well liked, I think your cool.
I will think you are REALLY cool if you make one for me for my birthday..ha ha (1st July)
 
I like the looks of that. As far as I know you're better liked than I am. Of course,that's not saying much.. Hmmm,nevermind.

Well Wolf, I don't recall having any cross words with you so if we did please jog what's left of my memory in an email. ;)

As to the War Club!!!! All I can say here without getting a very, very, serious INFRACTION is, "Where's mine?" I'm much more impressed than you might ever believe youngen.:thumbup: :D :cool: :eek:
 
Great workmanship and a testament to your patience too.

The only issue I have with you is that it's thanks to your posts about Chitlangi's that got me hooked on them, and for that I thank you! :D

Did the Cherokee use anything like this? Pardon me but i'm just curious and i dont remember ever reading wether native americans used this type of weapon or not.

Looks like an Asian Indian warclub. Their ones had a bit of curve in them though.
