Hello everyone,
I am interested in what appears to be a new Splitting Maul by Warwood tools. I can't find any info on it outside of their website so I'm guessing it's a pretty new tool.
Im curious if y'all have heard anything more.

It's probably an adequate maul. Good to see someone still manufacturing them in America. It's hard to judge the tool without good pictures of it from several angles. That concerns me. It may have thin or flat cheeks that would be sticky in a maul.

Probably something like 4140 which is perfectly fine for a maul. It say 'Drop Forged' but it looks cast.

Pretty sure that's a black crinkle finished powder coat.

Update for anyone interested. It is indeed forged. Virtually all of Warwood tools are.

Turns out they just released a revised design a couple of days ago. 5.5 lb could be a pretty good weight and occupies a niche it's American competition (Council tool) doesn't. I have council tool's new 7lb splitting maul and their 5lb splitting axe. The council tool 5lb splitting axe is a much shallower design and it more optimized for twist/flick splitting.
