New washers?

I am pretty much edcing a Kershaw Emerson cqc 4kxl. I like it, but the teflon washers suck. I've already replaced them with the washers from a Kershaw Starter, but it still won't really stay centered. I'm wondering if aluminum/steel washers that I can find around the house would be a good idea to use, or if it would mess it up. I like being able to flip it open, and the teflon does work well for that.

If you live in the US, you can buy PB washers in different sizes from knife parts/kit dealers. I don't know if Al/steel washers are any good.
Personally, I love Teflon washers.

What were in the Kershaw Starter, not Teflon?

Definitely teflon, but I read the ones in the cqc were much worse

I have a feeling, it might not be a washer problem.
