Decent rifle, i have one myself. Looks like your stock is better finished than mine. Very reliable, not one jam yet.
 
Thanks guys.. I just got this AK and my buddy who also posts on here from time to time has an egyptian maadi and its a little nicer of a rifle because it was made on russian factories or something but the romanians are tough as nails!!!! i love my WASR-10.


Craig, i dont care about what liberals think... I figure if they wanna come to our forum here on Blade Forums and look around, I am going to give them something to look at.... Lawful Armed American.
 
nice rifle ya know what WASR stands for, right??

what a shi$$y rifle lol, no just pulling your leg they are great rifles i have a couple of romanian AKMs and really like them.

ya outta put a pistol grip stock on it though, looks 10X better and doesnt cost much.

i like the romanians because most have the optics rail on the side which i really do like.

Yea i want to get a pistol grip for it, the only problem is, i dont know how to go about making sure i do it legal. dont you have to have like 10 parts on an imported gun so it stays legal or something??? if i recall correctly, that is the case. how much does a pistol grip cost a man these days. i am not interested in the entire stock kit, i already have nice front stocks on her... she is flawless, i cant believe how well this romanian functions and holds up. it held up just as good as the VEPR and the russian SKS and ak47 i have. that says something for the romanian aks. i am to the point where i cant find true logic in buying a higher end ak over a romanian bc from my experience, they arent any better as far as reliability goes... Long live the WASR-10!!!


and its NOT a shitty rifle by any means.;)
 
The WASR-10 can have all of the US-made parts you want to put on it, basically.

How does the WASR-10 group compared to the VEPR?
 
go to k-var.com they have USA made stocks w/a PG, run ~$75 IIRC, they have all different styles (ie plus 1" in pull, diff colors, etc) of stocks.

ya could either find one that matches the forearm or replace it too, they are simple to swap out.


AK stuff is still kinda cheap unlike AR15 stuff, they are fun to customise.
 
i hate those MAK90 looking stocks the rifle above looks RIGHT now, like an AKM.

i put a east german folding stock on my romanian AK74 (had to add some US parts though) and got a b-square side mount with an older aimpoint scope and really like the look and tthe compactness of the rifle, it is one handy little rifle for carrying on a ATV or horseback.
 
haha, i tried that with my manix on another AK i had... turned out to be a bad idea

my friend, pictured above, also had an AK that he attempted to put some sort of spyderco blade on the end of... cant remember the blade...

Glad to see you can take my bs in light it was intended. Nice rifle by the way, I would much rather have an AK variant than the SKS. :cool:
 
Yea I really like this semi new Romanian AK47... fires very well.. I ended up selling the russian SKS i had in order to get a MAC11. talk about a fun gun at the range... WHOA! how are things over on spyderco forums zen? hadnt been there in forever... i forgot my pw. :)
 
SKS's are "ok" for sure especially back in the day when a para SKS like mine could be had for less than $100, with the bayo & tax, hard to beat that, but the AK is just so much more neat with the large cap mags, imho a better balance, just a lot better rifle imho, my AK's are both more accurate than my SKS paratrooper, not much, but a little, i havent shot my SKS since i got my AK's.

Very peaceful now that the Benchmade controversy has cooled. Lots of great fixed blades coming out.

Although fun to shoot, I am not sure a Mac11 is worth it, unless it is full auto.

But who am I to talk, I've had my eye on this little hoser...

zen, i ALMOST bought that EXACT pistol.... we got it at my local shop for about 759.99.... not bad.. dont know how practical the thing is but i can tell you this much... THE THING IS LOUD AS HELL!!!!!!!!!!

oh yea, another fun fact.. if you have a handgun carry permit... yea well you can LEGALLY carry this thing!!!! pretty crazy huh
