It looks good. I like how you are making it personal, I think that's a very cool touch.

You are definitely catching on to making knives!

Keep up the good work

Cory, your determination shows through the fact that you are willing to do the best you can with what you have. That my friend is the greatist tool you will ever own. I like your site ,and am looking forward to seeing more of your work. (stay at it)!!!

Great work Cory! I'm especially interested in the "building a 2x72 grinder" section. Is this a home made grinder from commonly found parts or is this using specialty peices you have to order? I'd love to have a 2x72 but right now the budget doesn't allow.

Keep up the great work!

Always think of your fellow knife makers as partners in the search for the perfect blade, not as people trying to compete with you and your work!

The 2x72 is gonna be very cost effective. I have an old exercise machine with square steel tubing and some left over steel from my old deer stand. Plus I got some old square steel bed rails which I found in a ditch. Plus I bought a 1/4" thick x 2" wide piece of mild steel for about $5 at a local garage for my platen. The 3hp motor I lucked out on as it was given to me by a friend. I just got my rollers back from Beaumont Metal Works today. For 3 of them I paid $90. I bought a tension spring for $3.00 at my local True Value. Plus some bolts and nuts out of my junk drawer in my tool box. So you can say this grinder is gonna cost me about $100 and should perform as good as any you can buy as I can tailor it to my specific needs. I will try to get this on in the next several weeks. I do not know just when I will get the time to build it yet but rest assured I am pumped so it should not be too long. Cory
