New Website

The basics look good. I am on dial-up modem, so it took WAY too long to load the pages that have pictures. For pics that size, using any app that optimizes pics for the web, you should be able to keep them each under 30KB without losing much quality at all. Otherwise, nice!

I'm on Dial up too

I almost fell a sleep while it was loading, maybe it's because it's after my bed time :D


if you want to hit the net engines, slow sites are a turn off to most surfers.
you can test that by surfing the net yourself and land on a slow loading page..

yes 30K and under for pictures, or maybe use small ones for thumbnails..surfers will wait
a little longer for other pictures once you capture them..
I'm not trying to put a damper on the site Jeff you have a good start,, just food for thought.. :)
 
hmmm... cable modem, didn't notice :) it is missing the site description on the home page though...

I AM WORKING ON IT! BLAH! :p

Crap, this fulltimer stuff is nutty sometimes. Right now, I am spending 14 hours a day in the shop, Monday through Saturday, and usually a couple hours Sunday morning. Only Sunday afternoons do I take a couple hours to play.

Okay, now I got to get my lunch finished and back to work. :(

Yup. Now all I need is some decent pics of my knives as I make them. Pity that all the knives I made in the past were photographed with film, and polaroids. They dont transfer to digital very well. No biggie. The site will grow in time. :)
