New website

I'm pleased for you, Jon.

Mitch does a clean and tidy website. Always has.

I like the personal touch on the About Me page, and the shop is a study in cleanliness and efficiency.

Well done! :D

OOOOOOOH!! We have a STUDIO now instead of just a shop. Aren't we all fancy schmancy:p Just kidding. Thats a nice website:thumbup:

Guys,
Thanks for looking and the feedback. I'm very happy with the site.
It makes a huge difference having someone from the "knife world" design it.

jdm61- Well, I consider myself an artist and don't artists work in studios!!! :)

Coop- I've spent alot of time organizing and reorganizing to get it where it is now. The big thing is getting everything off the floor (as much as possible anyway)so it can be cleaned easily.

Very nice Jon. You have a nice functional place to work with a spectacular view.

Perhaps it doesn't apply, but the one link that most sites have that yours doesn't is "available knives". But if none are ever available....no need.:D

Peter

Very nice site - easy to navigate, good info and nice pics. The knives are gorgeous.

I would consider adding an "Available" page - and then actually making a knife available on that page from time to time. Invite people visiting that page to e-mail you if they woud like to be notified of future pieces posted there. Great way to build a list of potential customers.

Roger

Edit - I see Peter beat me to it.

Jon very cool new site I like that hammer in your very clean shop I just bet you keep your shop clean all the time. see you soon.

Peter and Roger,
I still want an availables page but thats the tweeking I (uhh Mitch) still need to do.

I'm not sure how best to handle it. I hate it when I see the available page that never has anything on it.
Maybe they just don't last very long and get removed immediately after they are sold. This may be a good idea for a new post!!!!

Jon

David,
I clicked the submit button too soon.
You'll need to come over some time and show me what my hammer is capable of doing. I know I barely touch it's capabilities.

Hi Jon,

It woud probably be nice to have a knife available when you first introduce the page - but no-one expects to see something new every week. If you even manage to do it quarterly, you would be ahead of most. I would leave knives sold on that page as a growing gallery so people can "see what they missed" - and be inspired to get on your notification list - or order something similar.

Missed another response.
Peter, I love when breaktime comes. I'm usually gazing at the view. I also have my straw bales just down the hill in my yard so I can shoot my bow ocassionally when the urge strikes me.

Another thing that I would like to see is prices. They could be listed like this- Price for a similar knife $----.--. Many makers feel that if you don't put prices it forces people to have to make contact, but I personally think putting prices on knives on websites is a very good idea.
