I had a great time this year in my whitetail hunts. I pack light as I hunt very close to my Grandmothers home. I dont need much but quickly found I over accommodated the $5 Remington fanny pack I bought. Hey....it was $5 Perfect for a test run.
I also found things I "Thought" I needed I really didnt. Such as food (dont stay out that long till heading in), water (same as food and wasn't worth the movement risk to drink and then have to pee), but I did like having a snack and other small items that added up space wise fast. I have been looking at the Badlands Monster Fanny Pack for a while but just didnt want to spend that amount on an item strictly dedicated to 1 particular task until I am doing that task more often than I did this year. But I did want to make a move and get something that made my time in the woods a tad more enjoyable with more carry options than my small $5 fanny pack
SO................... I began looking and looking and this particular pack kept popping up. I already had the Kifaru Omni belt in my drawer and all I needed was the Kifaru Tailgunner1 I kept seeing for sale to make that a great 900ci fanny pack and it wont be overkill which is what I think the Badlands Monster Fanny would be for me. PLUS this doubles like an over the shoulder or chest sling bag. PERFECT for all year use somehow!!!!
Pardon these pictures but there all I could pull off this hour of the day.
This shot you see the mesh lid pocket for items such as phones, glasses or something you don't want dropping into the pack for whatever reason.
Also you see the small detachable zipper pouch hanging in front of the small hydration pocket.
There is also a mesh pocket that goes the width of the bag thats green for items such as tags, rubber gloves or smaller lighter gear you want seperated.
This picture shows the bag on the Omni belt to make it a Lumbar pack with great comfort!!! You can also use the simple shoulder sling WITH the belt or how I will probrably use it.....just slung over my chest and let bag hang over my lower left butt cheek /hip area. If not that ill loosen the belt and spin it to have the bag in front when Im in the stand.
The inside also has numerous smaller pockets for calls, rangefinder and what nots along the inside front and elastic loops for typical "tactical pouch" items such as flashlights or multi tools.
The inside has plenty of room to keep hats, gloves and other larger items that was not even a thought for the $5 Fanny Pack.
This bag will also be a good grab and go bag if my day pack is too large or a makeshift camera bag.
as long as its descent-ed and stored in my hunting tub before hitting the whitetail woods!!!
