New wicked edge knockoff? has anyone seen these

If the stones are of good quality, go for it. That said, my cheapo buddy bought one of those $35 EP knockoffs on ebay. The stones are complete junk. Beware. You can also get an Edge Pro or KME for around the same price.
 
Big question would be will it take WEPS replacement stones? If not you're pretty much stuck with what it came with and as noted, those usually suck in comparison to a good stone set. From the video those stones look pretty much like the ones that come with the Edge Pro knockoffs. Except the EP clones can take EP stones.

I agree, for the price you could get a KME with either ceramic or Gold diamond set and already be way ahead of the game and still have a clamped system that has an ever growing number of stones and strops available for it. If you don't want a clamped system then you could get a basic Edge Pro Apex kit for that price range and keep adding stones and strops as you go.

Interesting though. I was also wondering how long before a WEPS clone came out and what it would be like. Folks also have to remember that as with the EP Apex, these systems eventually have the patents run out and like Remington 870s and 1911s, anybody can start making them.

Just looking at that one though, I don't think it will have the strength or precision of a WEPS.
 
I was looking at this as well, but then I looked at the price of the wicked edge replacement stones. Same price as the sharpener! If you could rig it up to take Edge pro stones you might have something here I think.
