I was doing a little bit of research due to a recent purchase here on BladeForums and found this old thread about the Early Wilson Combat Umnumzaan's. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/740652-New-Wilson-Tactical-Reeve-Collaboration

I found it very interesting from a historical perspective. I'm quite sure that many here remember the thread or have read it in the past but for those of us who are relatively new to CRK I thought it was worth reading.

These are so awesome. My bud 1Abominable1 and I picked up one of the last runs with the old pivot. What I find interesting in the one I have is, it not only does NOT have the LBS system, but if you look at the second pic, notice the jimping on the spine. Old school, perhaps new Sebenza school. Also the contouring of the lock bar. Either way I believe this Zaan to be a one of a kind unless others here have one or seen one? I had Vess make me a nice belt sheath to compliment this sweet knife. Other CRKs will come and go in my collection, but this one is here to stay!

I carried my starbenza today, WC takes a great knife and makes it just a little better!
 
Great Pictures Rob!! That is definitely a rare combo on a Zaan!! I have never seen the combination of the "New" blade with all other early features! The blade was one of the last changes made to the Umnumzaan from what I've seen. Even the knives with the unmarked lbs have the old style blade. A rare bird indeed!! Although the early orignal version of the knife is in my humble opinion the best design..I love being able to have so many variations to try to collect!! Definitely a keeper!!

I called Wilson today to make sure the large Star-Benza I ordered the other day was in stock. I was kind of hoping they were going to say it was back ordered and I was going to change my order to the Star-Tac. Well they said the Star-Benza already shipped so it looks like one similar to this will be next on my list.
