I recently had a spot reserved for an EWOK knife from John @ JK knives. Due to my wife surprising me with a JK Pack Knife for my birthday, I decided to change my order. John suggested I design my own knife. Well, I finally ended up with a design I liked and John brought it to life. Here is the Kentucky Woodsman.

I just got them this morning and took a few quick photos to share. Most of my outdoor knife use revolves around hunting, but I was looking for a multipurpose all around outdoor knife. I think this will serve well in that roll. After a little use I'll provide a review, when I get a chance.

What do y'all think about it, for woods use?

Another gem from John's shop.

I love that design. The point and blade shape remind me of the Grohmann #1, and the handle looks like it will be nice and comfortable.

What sort of pants will these knives be wearing?

Post a review after you get some field time!

All the best,

- Mike

I like it very much! Great design, great execution...looks like a winner! -Matt-

right on.. that's a great design...John did a awesome job bringing it to life..

Nice design, I'd like the blade to be a tad less wide, but the curves on those flow nicely.

Great looking knife for its intended purpose! Should work well this fall for Mr. Whitetail.

That is a winner! That's the most comfortable handle design I've seen on knives that size. Have you got a top down view?

I agree with everyone else, that's a beautiful knife. Can we get some specs on that thing?

David

Here are the specs on this one. It`s about 8 1/2" overall, with a 4" cutting edge, 1 1/2" tall at it`s tallest point, made from 1/8" O1.
