Well after 15+ years of using my Spyderco Delica it was time to replace my work knife. I am an auto mechanic and I kept the Delica at work in my tool box and put it in my pocket every morning. I had been meaning to get a new one for a while but never got around to it. I recently picked up a Benchmade 940-1 to replace it but after a couple of weeks I found the profile too narrow and the thumb stud too close to the scale for easy one handed deployment at work. I got the Delica Cruwear from a fellow member and I will see how it does as compared to the VG 10 steel. Maybe it's just me but I never thought the VG 10 was all that great but, since my work knife does get used to pry apart plastic wire harness connectors besides cutting I stuck with it. I did chip the blade slightly once or twice but usually it did fine. As I understand it the cruwear blade should do better overall.

Nice!!!! I like to read about knives standing up to years of use. You made a good choice, be sure to follow up with a review to let us know how well the cru-wear holds up.

The Cruwear should be a big improvement over the VG10. My Delica 4s and Enduras still get a lot of pocket time.

Good luck Bullmastiff ya got there too!

Wow, now that's a Delica that has seen some use and sharpening, that blade is a pretty good isosceles triangle. Put a new clip on it and pass it on as a sprint run, the Isosco-Spyder.

Delica superblue was a great steel for me to use at work. Cruwear has gots to be awesome.
I've tried several knives since I retired the delica. I think I got so used to the size and style of the delica, having problems replacing it with other knives.image.jpg
