New WR Case x Southern Grind flipper "CG01"

Anybody else see these? They look pretty cool and a modern Case collab is really interesting. I've been wanting to try out a Southern Grind and this might be the one.

That's what the article listed the msrp as. Hopefully the price drops a bit once the retailers actually start selling them.

Interesting. I love my Spider Monkey. Would love to see a flipper version though. This might be a good option.

I'm thinking right at 3 inches.

I really like the look of those. Probably need to pick one up once they really become available. A Case flipper. Who woulda thunk it.

I'm really hoping that diversifying is profitable for Case. They are going to get a lot of push-back from the traditionals-only crowd but it's a good-looking knife and I hope it sells well.

Remember the near apoplectic reactions some had to the thread a few weeks ago where Case added a pocket clip to the trapper knife? Imagine what this is gonna do!!

As a traditional knife lover I see no issue with wholy modern knives. I think most folks who might not like a trapper with a clip don't have a problem with modern folders.

I like the look of these (I wish the blades were at least 3.5", though) and I really like the fact that they're made out of a decent stainless steel.

Hopefuly this becomes a new trend for Case and they begin to offer more knives with quality stainless blades.

Aluminum from what I've seen at the Blade show previews.

With an inset lock, you get all of the advantages of the light weight of aluminum with none of the potential drawbacks, aside from being more prone to cosmetic wear.
