Hey- All,
Recently bought a Project I and a Large Regular Sebenza with a satin blade. Intend on using PJ I for camp/field use and the Sebenza for EDC and light field use. To me, satin blades clean up better after eating etc...

Four Questions:

When do folks typically send in their one piece fixed blades for reconditioning? It's already got scratches from first use. Not worried about it just curious on timing and typical criteria for sending them in.

Is there any premium typically paid for a Sebenza satin blade vs. stonewashed? Seller claimed it rare. I paid $342 for mine in new condition.

Has anybody had a satin blade and have they found scratches to be an issue?

What are the differences between the classic and regular? Is it aesthetics or are they practical usability differences?

Regards,

1-I think it is entirely dependent on the person. If it is a user for me, I would not send it in for refubishment for scratches at all.

2-The polished blade is an $11.50 upcharge when ordering a new knife that would not otherwise have it. (The inlayed sebbies and graphic ones come with it already standard for the most part)

3-Can't speak to that as my users have the stonewashed blade.

4-The main difference is in the shape of the 'cutout' to access the thumblug. The is a difference in blade shape but to me it is a sublte one.
