New Year, New Contest.......sort of

I wanna see some great Kabar pics, and I think we should offer up something for some great pics.

Post up the best pics you got or think you can take, here, through the month of January.

Come my BDay (Feb 5), I'll pick out a few winners and send ya'll something for it. It might be a Dogshead slipjoint, 7" F/U knife, Zombie Blade, or Dozier folder(s). I'll decide based on what I like.

Now, I really wanna see some good pics, so, just throwing it on the couch and snapping away, won't get it. Woodland, snow, bloody, clean, with dinner, or with you at a party, best pictures win, I don't really care where its at, as long as its doing something.

We finally got some snow today. I thought about doing the January BH contest we had so much. It was pretty epic, it was almost enough to cover most of the grass blades.

I found the tracks of a local predator, and thought I'd model the USMC next to them for a size comparison.

Yep, its as lame as it looks. Our snow storm dropped almost a whole inch, and its the first snow we've had all year. At this rate, it looks like if we want any snow down here, we'll have to be importing it from somewhere.

Sadly, even though I took the photo at almost 11am, it was still overcast and the lighting is pretty bad. I'll have to see if I can find somewhere else better for some better shots, as I think everyone else here has got me beat.

Still not up to everyone elses (super impressed guys, you all must secretly be photographers or something), but Its better than what I had.

Its textbook season at my apartment, so I went ahead and fed the KaBars and Beckers on all that I could find laying around.

Again with the sheaths in it.

Don't have any action shots, but here is the aftermath.

The USMC didn't get fed enough, so I let it cut some Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread for me .

And took a few more shots today. The blade looks funky because this is half sanded down right now. I'm working on stripping it currently. I think it might be the first stripped ZK blade I've seen.

My shots might not be the greatest... but I've got variety at least .

I need more straight up Ka-Bar knives in my arsenal! I've given a few as gifts lately, but haven't really gotten many of my own. All of my Beckers are made in Olean, though. :thumbup:
