New year...new knife...ESEE of course !!!

Look what I got for this new year 2011 :

Order from Knife Ship Free, it arrived in less than two weeks in France. My first impressions of this beautiful camp knife:

Impressive ! When the blade comes out of the sheath, we immediately note the perfect finish of the knife, very sharp, and has a very good balance in hand, the choil is perfect for precison working, I like that. It seems to be designed to withstand all the abuse I subject it very soon ... we'll see...

One negative point: the thermo-molded sheath has a slight retention for me, but I already had ordered the molle-back and accessory pouch from Knife Connection, so it has not been a problem.

I'm already looking forward to testing this knife in the forest...:thumbup:

I was going to get a 5 before the 6 because I like thick knives, but I really like the 6 with that MB and Pouch setup that you have.

Man, I have some tough choices to make.....what a wonderful position to be in!

I love the RC6, between the 6 and the 4 is always the one I reach for when going camping/hiking, good choice

The ESEE 6 is the perfect size knife for camping. And with molle-back/accessory-pouch it looks like a "old school" knife...I love that ! For hiking, I prefer izula or HEST (lighter).

I am currently designing my altoids kit, I have some useful items but I still looking for ideas...

Do you know a sharpening system ideal for the size of the box ? Sometimes you talk about DMT ....
