  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Since 2021 was not a good year, I have been thinking all today about what was a good year. For me, I came up with 1976.---The war was finally over; Hippy chicks; Halter tops; No bras; Free love; I won the Virginia State Loggers Rodeo (now called timber sports) championship; I was working building a 1776 log cabin and barn in the Shenandoah Valley with my historic axes and log building tools for the Bicentennial Commission. Did I mention FREE LOVE ?

Happy New Year 2022, Berni!!!!
Could you share some more info about that 1776 log cabin project, please. Thanks

Building a 1776 cabin? Cutting the timbers at Valley Forge? Crossing the Delaware river with George?

Ah, those were the good old days, before Alex Hamilton invented inflation.

Happy New Year, Bernie.

That cabin must have been the project you were working on when you bought that pair of TT claw hatchets.
