I've owned a great many knives, well not as many as some but a fair amount. These three are with me this New Year's Eve and will hopefully be with me through the next year as well. They just seem to fit my needs at the moment, this doesn't include the several Swiss Army knives as I view those more as tools than knives.

Left to right resting atop of my desk board family of "FireFly" :)

Schatt & Morgan gunstock, steel of CPM154, a very nice traditional folder and fits my watch pocket perfectly

Griffin Co neck knife in Magnacut, about the perfect neck knife and I've tried many.

Cold Steel Recon 1 in S35vn just a flat out solid no nonsense folder with a lock that is about as strong as you can get.

So, what are you guys and gals taking with you on this night of cross over into the new year?

A simple carry for me tonight. An early (obligatory) dinner at the mother-in-law’s and then its couch time with the wife and my SAK. But I’ll be looking at some new knives I may be getting in the near future (including the possibility of my first custom😃). IMG_9029.jpeg

I went simple with the NF. She's done some work today. Been a high volume cutting task day, and that's exactly how I hope 2025 is.

Happy New Years knife friends!

Oh forgot and had to edit lol. And my little boot knife is always on me.

Interesting thread, G^2.

Today I carry 3 knives that include all I could ever want in terms of EDC, and they are super comfortable… I have been debating this morning if I should carry them longer; it gets kind of tiring to pick new combos every day … (first world problem, of course). I guess I’ll see over the next few days. As a representative traditional, that 2024 BF knife came out perfect for me, BTW, doesn’t get better.

Had recently purchased a Civivi Praxis, then saw the Ozark Trails 2024 bugout clone in white for $5 and grabbed 6 for stocking stuffers - including myself. Good enough, noooo, I'm shopping after refunding an Xmas gift and wandering around I look in the knife case . . .

There was a 2023 Ozark Trails orange bugout clone in D2 in there for 9.95. Huge white sticker on it. Not flipping it, I've already used it to free the plastic retainers on some tiny orange S biners marked down to $1 a pair.

I swear, I find more bargains in Walmart than the local flea markets lately . . .

I'm sitting here pondering your sincerity and oscillating my determination faster than a flies wings flap.

Either way, you are genius. Both frugle and funny are extremely respectable in my book. :)

I may feel nekkid without at least a small fixed blade on me and have to add one later, but for now my plan is to just pocket these two. The Small CRK is my usual carry for a night out (in town ... which is rare) ... and I thought I'd give the Bunny Knife more carry time in the new year so why not start now (leather slip for the Bunny from our own Sharp & Fiery Sharp & Fiery ).

Besides what will be around me on the couch or on the side table . . .
what will be in pocket(s) :
Case Swell Center Black synthetic
Benchmade Bailout in Crater Blue with M4 blade (my Christmas present to myself (I bought it as soon as I laid eyes on it back in July and then put it away for Xmas )) .😍
and if it arrives in time today (should be here before 10pm) a Cold Steel Code 4 (so I'm with ya there) !
No photos ; sorry to be so fricken boooooring.

PS UPDATE : Code 4 arrived early. In good shape / no probs. Happy Dog !

I never make it to midnight anymore, unless I get called back into work. Right now I’m sitting next to a fire in the backyard hoping the phone doesn’t ring so I can enjoy a little peace and quiet.
